Hey everyone. My name is Edward Mochizuki and I’m an enthusiast of coffee and cacao products. As I’ve grown older I’ve become much more aware of what I put into my body and also where my money is spent. Both of which I think most people in their 20’s don’t put much emphasis on (at least I certainly didn’t).

In 2019 I discovered specialty coffee and never turned back. I went full in and bought nearly every form of coffee brewing apparatus including a whole espresso machine. I was only buying ethically sourced quality from companies that could show they were ethical and providing clean products free of the additives found in many commercial and retail coffees. I obsessed about the benefits of coffee and how it was sourced. Naturally, this journey showed me many of the harsh realities of the coffee industry.

A few years later I started learning more about cacao products and how they are almost identical to the coffee industry. Wouldn’t you know, coffee and cacao are nearly identical in how they are grown and processed and contain many similar health benefits. Learning all of this allowed me to seamlessly expand my coffee knowledge into the cacao industry, aka chocolate. By doing so, I learned there’s as much exploitation at the farmer level and a great deal of misinformation at the retail level. Now I am on a journey to share what I know with everyone, as I haven’t found an adequate source on the knowledge I’ve learned that candidly speaks on these issues while also promoting brands that are working to make a better future.

My goal is spreading awareness about many popular products and to promote smaller products that may never get the chance to advertise at a level that can be easily found by consumers looking for their product. With that said, if you’d like to learn more about this project, you can venture over here to learn more about it so the “About Me” stays a bit more on topic about who I am. I also run affiliate links to support this project and you can read more about that over here.
